With the start of the New Year, almost everyone has the best intentions for setting new goals or resolutions for themselves. Maybe you have goals to lose weight, find a new job or go back to school. It is easy to get overwhelmed when you suddenly realize that achieving your goals is a little harder than you thought. There’s nothing wrong with admitting you may have bitten off more than you can chew.
Choosing the right goals means trying to find the middle ground between setting the bar too high or too low. While aiming high can be very motivating, it will do you no good if you quickly lose enthusiasm because it is too far out of reach or too hard. The same applies for goals that are too easy to obtain and leave you feeling unfulfilled.
